How To Sort Out Your Priorities

We live in a world where EVERYTHING that needs to be done seem important and urgent.
Every new "to-do" that pops up have to be done NOW.
You have to explore, travel and find out who you am, but at the same time you can't spend so much time doing that cause you need to start working and catch up with your peers asap.
You have to hustle and work hard to achieve success, but at the same time you have to spend time with family and friends and your pet cat..
And then, somehow squeeze in some alone time, and also start writing that book you want to write and start learning sign language cause you've been wanting to do that since 6.5 years ago and..
And you get my drift.
If you're like me, sometimes you'll reach a point where you just shut down and passively binge on Netflix just to escape deciding what to do first or cause you're just mentally exhausted.
But we both know that's not the way to live.
Recently, I finally got my priorities straight.
What caused this?
I thought about dying.
With the Wuhan virus going around, and Kobe & his daughter unexpected passing away in an accident, I really took some time to think about the fragility of life.
We often think we have so much time left.
Oh, we KNOW we're running out of time, but for some reason, we think "I still have time, the end won't be so soon."
But honestly, tomorrow is never promised.
At first, it was scray to think about dying everyday for a few days straight. But after awhile, I guessed I just accepted it.
Now, this is how you find out what really matters to you:
IMAGINE THAT YOU'RE DEAD.
YOUR LIFE ON EARTH HAS ENDED.
The unfulfilled potential you have, will be just that.
The unfinished goals you have, will forever be unfinished.
The people you love who you never said "I love you" to recently, will never ever hear it.
That's it.
If you believe in heaven & hell, then your time for "collecting good points" to go to heaven is up.
No more turning back.
.
.
.
But then, suddenly, you heard a voice:
"Alright, I'll bring you back to life. Just so that you can fulfill one, JUST ONE thing. And when that's done. You'll die and be back here again."
Now, do this and find out whats your ONE THING.
Do it again and find out your 2nd thing, and 3rd thing.
List a few, and realise that these top things are really the things that deserve the most of your time here on earth.
Everything else, will fall off your shoulders.
